Brockhampton Estate

Had a lovely afternoon exploring Brockhampton: wonderful small, moated manor house. Next time I would like to explore the parkland – there are several way-marked walks.

Splendid photos. Really made me want to visit. I like these sorts of modest historic sites far more than the big palaces and castles.

A lovely stump. The house and grounds are nice, but that stump is magnificent:)

Twas a splendid stump – delighted you appreciate it, Ron.

Actually, I was delighted they are leaving dead wood as it’s a haven for wildlife, particularly stag beetles, whose larvae take several years to grow inside rotting stumps.

  4. very very lovely, thank you
